Since 1955, the Di Ciommo family has been leading the Posticchia Sabelli Agricultural and Livestock Farm, but boasts over a century of experience in dairy cattle farming and the processing and marketing of dairy products. The farm is located in Lavello, in the Basilicata region, in the heart of the middle Ofanto valley, a river that originates in Campania and flows into the Adriatic Sea, flowing through the regions of Basilicata and Puglia. The company, family-run by brothers Aldo and Marcello, with the support of other family members and collaborators, continues to passionately carry forward a tradition that combines experience and innovation.

We carefully oversee every stage of the production process, from the forage to the transformation of milk into the final product and its sale. In Lavello, we cultivate 250 hectares of land with a mix of selected forages to ensure optimal nutrition for our cows. The quality of the milk is closely linked to the animals’ quality of life: we are committed to providing them with the utmost well-being and adequate spaces. Every day, at the first light of dawn, our cheesemakers, skilled and devoted to tradition, transform fresh milk into cheese, keeping alive a thousand-year-old tradition of our region. Masseria Posticchia Sabelli is also a research and development hub, constantly seeking innovations to meet customer needs and rediscover the fresh and authentic flavors of the past.
